After completing a Double degree in Arts/Science and traveling extensively around the world, Tania returned to Melbourne to follow a completely different path, opening her own Pole Divas studio in Moonee Ponds! Having taught at Prahran for nearly 2 years and seeing the enjoyment, dedication and incredible physical transformation in her students, she felt compelled to provide women in the West with the same opportunity, and has never looked back!

A natural performer, Tania established her passion for doubles routines and competitions early in her career, winning numerous Unleashed titles before going professional with her best friend and full time instructor Miss Filly. Since their debut winning performance at MPDV 2014 they have accumulated an impressive array of sashes and trophies on the professional circuit and show no signs of slowing down!

Stacey says that the smiles and giggles, and watching the transformation of girls' confidence, bodies and fitness are the most rewarding aspect of being a Pole Divas Instructor.

Miss Filly (Pole Divas Training Director)

Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Miss Filly began her pole dancing career at Pole Divas, one of the longest running pole dancing studios in the city, established in 2004. From there she quickly became addicted to pole and being on stage as she turned professional as a teacher and state level competitor in 2010 after only a year of pole dance as a student.

The inspiration to try Pole Dancing as a new form of dance fitness and exercise came from her sister who, with an extensive dance background was looking to return to a class environment and learn new skills and build strength. Inspired by the teachers and falling in love with the environment, they both became addicted to the sport taking part in 5 or more classes a week and participating in shows and student competitions.

After winning the Advanced student category of ‘Unleashed’, Pole Divas’ in house student competition a young and ambitious Filly was asked to teach for Pole Divas in 2010. Loving where this new found passion had taken her physically and mentally, she quit her job as a Database Implementation consultant to make Pole Dance a full time occupation. It was the best decision she ever made.

"I am passionate about the pole industry, the quality of instructors and the health and fitness benefits for the minds and bodies of the men and women I teach. This passion led me to take on the Training Director role at Pole Divas looking to ensure the safest and most skilled instructors are available to the students. After 7 years in the pole industry from student to teacher and international competitor, I have been taught by some of the best teachers and pole dancers in the world and am excited to teach, coach and mentor others on their pole journey whether that be to compete, get fit or love their body."

Pip started pole dancing at the Moonee Ponds studio in 2013 and has never looked back. In those five years, she have completed every level in both spin and static pole and for the last two years, have been training as one of Miss Filly’s elite level students. Pip has competed in Frisk as both a doubles competitor and soloist. She competed in Unleashed twice – winning first place in the Elite category last year and also competed in her first interstate comp, Step Up in Sydney in 2017.

She has a background in jazz, tap, ballet and pointe and taught junior dance for two years, as well as dabbling in choreography for school musicals and rock eisteddfods. Pip was drawn to the challenge, athleticism and skill that pole dancing requires, but quickly fell in love with the other aspects of pole as well! Especially the shoes!!

Pip grew up near the beach, so surf lifesaving played a big role in her life until she moved to Melbourne for university. She has always loved being active and was a competitive surf-boat rower for three years, winning medals at both a state and national level.

"I love to spend my time outdoors and when I’m not at the studio, you can probably find me outside climbing a tree, hanging off a fence or doing yoga with my parents dog Meg. I’m pretty lucky that I get to call both of my jobs my passion (I am also a nurse in real-life) and even luckier that I get to share my love and enthusiasm for pole dance with my students! It really is the ultimate confidence and mood-booster."
